1856-B East Cinderella St. Springfield, class open to all levels. Lessons for all levels available. Private lessons also available. The `type` of Yoga I teach is known as Sivananda Yoga. Gurudev Swami Sivanandaji Maharaj (Swami Sivananda), one of the greatest Yoga masters of the 20th century and to have ever exsisted, is the inspiration of Sivananda Yoga. In 1957, Swami Sivananda sent his devoted disciple, Swami Vishnu Devananda to the West where he then established the International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centers. Swami Vishnu Devananda was one of the first Yogis to bring the practice of Yoga to the west. I will not just be teaching exercise. This class is about the true meaning of Yoga. Yoga means Union. Not just union between the mind, body and spirit.
